A short story
Founded in 1998 at the northern end of the Mount Camel Range, Lake Cooper Estate is defined by its ancient Cambrian soils and elevated, rocky terrain. The vineyard began with Shiraz and has grown to include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc—each shaped by the site’s unique mineral-rich red loam.
A new chapter began in 2015 under owner LiPing Wang. Today, the estate focuses on premium, estate-grown wines that express depth, purity and a distinct sense of place. Planned developments include an expanded winery, new high-potential vineyard blocks on the eastern slopes, and a future cellar door, restaurant and boutique accommodation overlooking the valley.
Lake Cooper Estate is committed to crafting wines of elegance, complexity and enduring character from one of Heathcote’s most compelling sites.
